Meet Petter, a dedicated member of Financeit’s Collections team. His role involves creating payment plans for missed payments and assisting borrowers facing financial difficulties. Petter manages various stages of loan delinquency, addresses inquiries about repossessions, and helps customers navigate changes in payment schedules. With his expertise, Petter ensures that Financeit’s borrowers receive the support they need to manage their loans effectively.
When did you join Financeit?
I joined Financeit in November 2017. Looking back now, the years have flown by! It’s a pleasure to bring and receive value through my work.
Please describe your role at Financeit.
The lifetime of a loan may experience some bumps in the road as loans can fall into arrears for a number of reasons. My approach is to assess the circumstances in each case to achieve a positive outcome. My goal is to ensure the longevity of our business relationships with customers because, in essence, it is a two-way street: my company reaps the benefits of providing good service to customers, which translates into goodwill and trust reciprocated by customers.
What are the biggest challenges for someone in Collections?
The biggest challenge in collections is mitigating a no-win scenario. Sometimes, a loan will not survive its term for various reasons. While most loans that cross the Collections department are successfully resolved, our aim is to lessen the impact of loans that do not follow that path.
What do you like most about your role?
There are too many things to mention! The people I work with are by far my biggest strength here. Knowing that your boss or peer has your back and supports you is an intangible truth! I also love helping people who are in dire straits right the ship with my assistance. Showing them compassion while finding a viable path through difficulty makes me happy.
What’s your favourite part about working at Financeit?
My favourite part is the balance between routine and unpredictability. While certain parts of my day are set in stone, it’s inevitable that my day will also experience the unexpected. Ultimately, feeling productive and enjoying all aspects of my role is my daily goal.
